Monitor Dynamics has introduced the newest member of their access control family in iTRUST. The product is a fully IP-based access control system and differentiates itself by easy to install, use and afford. The product comes in a kit (sans cables and switches) to get the system up and running. It also is environmentally friendly that operates by using the same intelligent controller in a PoE+ 2 door single board configuration. iTRUST keeps access control simple, modern and inexpensive by building on select key features that other systems have implemented, and taking these features and functionality to a new level combining innovation and ease of use.
Tyco Security Products
Version 6.9 incorporates updates to CEM reader technology, including enhanced functionality of the emerald terminal and the launch of a new portable reader, a hand held card reader with a full color touch screen. CEM’s emerald, new to the North American market and used in conjunction with the AC2000, has recently won several innovation awards within the industry.
Galaxy
Galaxy Control Systems Dual Reader Module (DRM) is designed for use with the company’s 635 Dual Serial Interface over RS485 UTP cabling. It enables up to 64 readers to be connected without the need to run dedicated cabling from a centralized controller, which significantly reduces overall costs. The DRM accommodates a single door with a single reader, two doors each with a single reader, or a single door with two readers for in/out anti-passback operation.
Delta Scientific
Delta Scientific offers over fifty hydraulic barrier, barricade, bollard and crash gate designs that can be run manually or on FDA-approved vegetable oils. The units typically remain in the upright position to protect the facility from terrorists and errant drivers. To let authorized vehicles through, they are lowered and then raised once again when the vehicle has passed. Barricades, bollards, gates and beams also feature electromechanical power, pneumatic power and hand operation.

CyberKey Air brings new technology to key-centric access control systems. Wireless connectivity to the key allows updates of user permissions in the key and access to the record of events stored in the key memory via Wi-Fi. World Compliance Technologies
The biometric sensor uses near-infrared light to capture a person’s palm vein pattern, generating a unique biometric template that is matched against pre-registered user palm vein patterns. The palm vein device can only recognize the pattern if the blood is actively flowing within the individual’s veins, which means that forgery is virtually impossible. This advanced, vascular pattern recognition technology not only provides highly reliable authentication with low false accept and reject rates, but also generates fast and easy enrollment.
Serco
The Serco Master Control Panel combines the operating controls for all dock devices into a single compact panel. Its ability to interlock that equipment to operate in a predetermined sequence makes it a very important security tool. For example, controls can be programmed such that the trailer must be securely locked in place by the vehicle restraint before the door will open or dock leveler will operate, and they can even control two dock positions from a single panel.

Open Options’ DNA Fusion access control software has added more features to the versatile Web client. In addition to video integration and the ability to capture photos, DNA Fusion Web v2.5 offers enhanced smart card modifications that include magnetic stripe encoding, ID badging, Prox/iCLASS enrollment, and biometric card enrollment for Schlage Handkey 2 and Bioscrypt 4G fingerprint readers.
